L.O.F.T. 2011 Annual Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by President Bill Krauskopf at 1301. A roll call was done and each member graced us with his name.

The floor was then turned over to club secretary Denny Zech for treasures report. Balance is $3,095.89 A motion was called for and the treasures report was accepted.

Denny Zech than passed out the club awards. Corky Miller made an outstanding sweep of all awards. Two meter and two meter wood, unlimited and unlimited wood. All four. (Way to go Corky).

The monthly contest was next on the agenda and Denny did a great job of finding us weekends to fly while staying away from most other contest. They will be posted on the web site soon if there not already there.

Old business was next in line and Bill had several suggestions about alternative flying fields. Attendance was next and last year it seemed to be nice on Saturday and Monday but crappy and windy on Sunday so attendance was down towards the end of the year. We need to make a concerted effort to fly every contest on the date schedule. CD’S please be aware of this.

ALES limited electric sailplane contest was than discussed. ALES I believe is (Altitude Limited Electric Soaring) but don’t quote me on that. Looks like we will be flying an limited electric soaring schedule to see how it goes. The club will purchase 13 altitude limiting modules which 11 are spoken for with two left for club members like myself to rent for two dollars to give it a try. Those contest dates will also be posted on the web site.

We will be getting a real working, “all the time” email set up by February first so hang in there. Sorry if we missed anybody.

Next up was elections. Board openings were Treasure and Vice President. We did the smart thing and asked Denny , who by the way ran unopposed to remain Treasure. Phil was also retained as Vice President for two more years. Congrats to all.
